From 28–29 April 2025, Elizaveta Diatlova from the European Project Center at Hochschule Wismar and Erika Zavackienė, Project Manager at Klaipėda Science and Technology Park, represented the DigiTechPort2030 project at the 4th Blue Mission BANOS Arena in Sopot, Poland. Hosted in collaboration with the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership and the Blue Economy Baltic Forum, the event convened maritime experts from Poland, eastern Germany, Denmark, and south-eastern Sweden to advance sustainability, resilience, and security in the blue economy.
DigiTechPort2030, funded by the Interreg South Baltic Programme, was showcased for its mission to support small- and medium-sized ports in their green transition through a tailored toolbox and decarbonization roadmap. Erika Zavackienė also contributed as a speaker in a session focused on sustainable maritime innovation, sparking engaging discussions on green port technologies.
Event Agenda Highlights:
- Day 1 (28 April): Opening plenary on the blue economy’s role in carbon neutrality, followed by parallel sessions on marine nature restoration, seaweed aquaculture governance, and sustainable shipping practices.
- Day 2 (29 April): Workshops on risk management tools (e.g., OpenRisk II project) and cross-sectoral collaboration, alongside B2B matchmaking sessions to foster partnerships.
The event fostered vibrant cross-disciplinary dialogue on marine education, ecological innovation, and sustainable shipping.
