DigiTechPort2030 at the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2025 (29–30 October, Sopot)

From 29 to 30 October 2025, the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) Annual Forum 2025 took place in Sopot, Poland, at the Radisson Blu Hotel Sopot. Our project, DigiTechPort2030, was ably represented by Erika Zavackienė from Klaipėda Science and Technology Park, and Magdalena Morzy with Joanna Kniter from Motus Foundation.

Day 1 – 29 October

The Forum opened with inspiring plenary and parallel sessions focusing on the region’s strategic priorities — from innovation and resilience to climate adaptation and skills for the digital future.
Our representatives actively participated in networking sessions and informal meetings, presenting the DigiTechPort2030 project to attendees and discussing how it contributes to strengthening digital transformation and cooperation in the Baltic Sea region.

A notable highlight was the mention of DigiTechPort2030 during one of the main panels by Kyriakos Kourtidis, representing the South Baltic Interreg Programme, who highlighted it as an example of innovative regional collaboration.

The day concluded with the Gala Evening, offering further opportunities for informal networking and connection-building among policymakers, researchers, and business representatives.

Day 2 – 30 October

The second day continued with sessions on sustainable growth, green and digital transitions, and regional cooperation mechanisms. Erika and Joanna focused on deepening contacts made during day one, engaging with other project representatives and funding bodies to explore future synergies and partnership opportunities.
Throughout the day, the Networking Village remained a dynamic space for exchanging ideas and strengthening the visibility of DigiTechPort2030 among key regional stakeholders.

Overall the Forum was a strong platform for DigiTechPort2030: our presence helped raise awareness of the project across the Baltic Sea region, build partnerships, and situate our work within the broader policy and funding landscape. We look forward to turning many of the contacts and ideas from Sopot into concrete action.
