DIGI TECH
PORT 2030
EU FUNDED PROJECT ON PORT DECARBONISATION
AND DIGITALISATION, IN WHICH MEMBERS FROM
ACADEMIA, INDUSTRY AND POLICY, COLLABORATE
WITH THE AIM TOWARDS GREENING PORT
OPERATIONS AND INITIATE STRATEGIC CHANGE
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The overall project objective is to improve knowledge and capacities for decarbonization measures in small and medium-sized ports of the Sout Baltic Area by equipping them with two solutions until the end of 2026.
The project’s activities are planned as preparatory activities and exploitation of key green technologies for the Small and Medium-Sized Ports Ecosystem, such as reports and methodology. The partnership is also going to implement, test and evaluate two types of decarbonization pilots. Additionally, foreseen are activities related to the transfer of knowledge, expertise, and best practices as well as the exploration towards Green Technologies.
The project proposes to deliver two solutions (Green Energy Harmonization Toolbox for Small and Medium-Sized Ports and the EU Regulation and Green Policy Compliance Roadmap of Green Transition for Small and Medium-Sized Ports) to improve knowledge and capacity for decarbonization measures in the region.
DigiTechPort2030 is the successor to the Interreg South Baltic project Connect2SmallPorts, which established a strong foundation for digital innovation in small ports across the region. Building on these achievements, DigiTechPort2030 takes the next step toward a more integrated, data-driven, and sustainable port ecosystem.
Project time frame: 15 September 2023 – 14 September 2026
